Antonio has been an active photographer for more than three decades. An artist, coach and teacher, he has developed a unique educational philosophy centered on the Creative Process and the Transformational Learning Experience. He taught Photography and Digital Imaging at The School of Media of LCC (The University of The Arts London) for more than ten years and for Ilford Film throughout England. Antonio has trained and coached people from all over the world to the highly professional standards of National Geographic and he is currently developing new educational projects on Photography and Creative Development.
Luciana FranzolinLSP COO
Luciana has been part of the LSP team since 2007. Born in Brazil, she started her career in photography as a darkroom technician in 1996. Finishing a Journalism BA in 2000 and Photography Post Graduation in 2001, she has worked for newspapers and as a freelance photographer moving to London in 2003. Very passionate about life, people and communication, she has worked in a wide range of environments and assignments and completed her MA in Photojournalism at the University of Westminster, London, in 2009. Luciana’s interests include documentary photography and portraiture and she runs a Photography Studio and School in Brazil.
Giovanni BarsantiLSP Director of Training - Professional Photographer
Giovanni has a genuine passion for photography, styling and creativity as well as concept creation for fashion and still life photography. Since he moved to London, he started to work as backstage photographer for the AOFM, (Academy of Freelance Makeup Artists) and for other major agencies as First Photographer. Gio (That's how we like to call him) has been part of the LSP Team for more than five years, covering positions like Studio Manager, First Assistant Photographer and Trainer for our Studio Lighting and Food & Product Photography courses. Debbie JolliffLSP Trainer - Professional Photographer
Debbie was born in Britain and has been a professional photographer since 2006. She studied Media Production and then onto achieve a Bachelor of Arts degree in Wildlife Photography. Debbie was awarded the prestigious Royal Horticultural Society's Gold Medal for her floral Fine Art exhibit titled 'The genus Galanthus' and was a semi-finalist in the 'Wild Places' category of the BP Wildlife Photographer of the Year. Working in a broad range of photographic environments, from landscapes in the great outdoors to reptiles in the studio, portraits underwater to the unfolding events at weddings, she feels blessed to have met so many photographers willing to share and discuss what they are so passionate about and is keen to do the same for others. Andrea VergantiLSP Senior Trainer - Professional Photographer
Andrea completed his Masters in Photojournalism in 2009 and has since been working for NGOs in the UK and abroad taking pictures for their portfolio and editing their visual material. Additionally, he has been working on assignments and commissions for local institutions and the public sector. Andrea has gathered experience facilitating workshops and classes while working on a wide range of themes for different organizations, which has led him to develop effective training methods and to value the precious contribution the students can bring to each session. His interest lies in a humanistic approach to photography, he enjoys working on collaborative projects exploring social aspects and promoting social change. Nicola MorleyLSP Trainer - Professional Photographer
Nicola trained at the LSP and went on to graduate with a Masters of Photography Arts from Westminster University. During her final year she made an in-depth study of coercive control which was awarded highly by her tutors. She has had a number of exhibitions in Europe and in the UK and is now working on a fresh new project involving a collaboration with a different medium. Commercially, she works in portraiture and still life, especially food where she draws on her experience as a Cordon Bleu cook. Nicola has a detailed eye and is fascinated with the minutiae. She is delighted to be back at LSP where it all began not that many years ago.
Stefan LacandlerLSP Trainer - Professional Photographer
Stefan became a professional photographer after years of assisting on everything from fashion shoots for British Vogue to movie franchises like Harry Potter. In recent years he has shot commercially for global brands including L’Oréal, King of Shaves and Chivas working with A’list actors like Chiwetel Ejiofor, Idris Elba and Oscar Isaac. He is also the founder and principal photographer of RawSilk Photography, specialising in vibrant wedding reportage storytelling. With over 200 weddings under his belt his wedding work has taken him all over the place, Scotland, Italy, France, Denmark & Sweden with work published in GQ, Men’s Health, Condé Nast Brides to mention but a few. Derek Lomas is a Still life and Portrait Photographer.After graduating from kent University he became a freelance Assistant to Photographers in London and then went on to set up his own studio .Derek brings a wealth of studio based knowledge to the LSP and continues to work for Clients such as L'oreal, Lancome, Marie Claire and Cosmopolitan. Camila CavalcanteLSP Trainer - Professional Photographer
Camila Cavalcante is a visual artist with a background in journalism and art critique and an interest in investigating the limits of photography as contemporary art. Coming from the Northeast coast of Brazil and after living in three other countries, settling in the UK, she is curious about finding common grounds between different cultures, countries and people. Camila uses photography to project herself onto her subjects, dissolving perceived borders, cultural differences and nationalities; immersing herself, her body and her art into a shared anthropological experience. Camila holds a degree in Journalism, a post-graduate degree in Journalism and Cultural Critique and a Masters Degree in Photojournalism from University of Westminster, in London. Giorgio MurruLSP Trainer - Professional Photographer
Italian born and bred, Giorgio is an internationally published beauty, fashion and portrait photographer. After a stellar career in documentary making, which led to the development of Bafta nominated programmes for the likes of the the BBC, Discovery, National Geographic and Channel 4, he decided to swap the moving image for stills imagery, his first love. After spending years fine tuning his eye working under photographers such as Robert Wyatt, Phil Poynter, Sabine Villiard, David Oldham, Rafael Stahelin, he launched his own career in 2012. He’s now a regular contributor for a wide range of international titles from A to Zink! as well as being commissioned by a multitude of commercial clients. His style allows him to jump between refined and irreverent beauty and fashion though retaining edge and an element of commerciality, the key ingredients to his success. Alex PollLSP Trainer
Alex has a multi-faceted career in the photography industry. After completing a BA in photography at Leeds College of Art he moved to London initially to work for the AOP (the Association of Photographers). Then going on to assist a plethora of photographers in the commercial industry, work in galleries around London curating and hanging shows and also consulting with the small photography agency Pholio. He also shoots in his spare time using traditional techniques to create conceptual documentary projects some of which have been exhibited in London and online. His imagery concentrates on object, form and the hidden aesthetic that is all around us.
