“My life is shaped by the urgent need to wander and observe, and my camera is my passport -Steve McCurry. “
They’re back! Nature’s comedians are giving us humans a run for our money with some pretty knee-slapping performances. The 2018 Wildlife Comedy Awards competition, organised by the Born Free Foundation, is already in full swing, and the entries are just hilarious.
Wildlife photographers spend days, if not months to capture incredible moments in our natural world, such as lions fighting, a rare hatching of birds in the wild, and even take down of prey by predators. But not these photographers. These guys just are looking for nature’s comedians as they strive to capture the perfect shot for the Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards.
And there’s no better way to start 2018 than with these incredibly funny shots of turtles slapping fishes, a jet-propelled duck, monkeys on bikes and penguins on the way to church. In order to capture these kinds of shots the photographers don’t only need skill, but an incredible eye for detail.
