If travel photography is your passion, and you love the idea of getting your work judged by a panel of professional editors, as well as being exhibited and published then this competition is the one for you.
Multi-platform travel media brand AFAR has teamed up with LensCulture and United Airlines to bring you the first ever AFAR Travel Photography Awards, giving photographers a chance to get their hands-on cash prizes and world-wide exposure.
The competition, with a total prize grant of $15,000 USD, aims to inspire and guide those who travel the world to connect with its people, experience their cultures, and understand their perspectives.
“We want to highlight the diverse and creative ways in which photographers like you are celebrating the world,” AFAR said in a press release.
The competition is open to both amateur and professional photographers shooting on any device and in all genres of photography, including abstract, architecture, black and white, nature, people, photo essays, and more.
“We believe that every photographer deserves the opportunity for exposure and recognition without restriction,” AFAR said.
“So, we’re asking you to show us the world through your lens. Winners will receive international exposure, publication in AFAR, cash awards, free business class air, and more.”
The cost of entering the competition ranges from $50 USD for up to 10 images, to free for a single image. The deadline for entries is September 16, 2018, and the winners will be announced in November.
